Chairlady  

關文珊 Lucy Kwan

Currently, Lucy is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics & Actuarial Science, University of Hong Kong. She also lives in Tanner Hill, Hong Kong. She has been researching land & housing issues since 2008 collaborating with the late Sir David Akers-Jones. She holds BA (Math) from the University of Hong Kong, and MSc (Statistics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to teaching & consultancy, she was an entrepreneur in business intelligence solutions. She also serves in the Management Committee of BGCA, the Innovation & Technology Committee of the HK Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association. See also a recent interview here.

陳鴻烈 Simon Chan

In the early 1970s, Mr Chan joined a US-based hi-tech electronic company under professional training to become an electronic engineer. Afterwards, he was transferred to its subsidiary in Singapore to set up a QC department and train local university graduates to become engineers.

In 1978, he joined the Kowloon-Canton Railway (KCR), then a Hong Kong government department responsible for railway development and services. Shortly after, he was seconded to the British Railway to undergo practice for railway electrification development and operation. After returning to Hong Kong, he served as the Head of Marketing at KCR. When KCR was transformed into a corporation renamed Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation in the early 1980s, and then he took charge of various offices in marketing, commercial and property development.

Mr Chan was a Member of the Chartered Institute of Transport, UK (CMILT) in 1981; ACIS, MCMI, MCIM, Founder Dip Member / FHKIM, FRSA. He had been a visiting lecturer in the Business and Management Studies Department at the Hong Kong Polytechnic for seven years.

Mr Chan’s other experiences included being the director of China Railway Construction Corporation (Hong Kong), which won contracts for the West Rail Line, including rail tracks and civil engineering works. Also, he served as the Senior Adviser of the China CMIIC Engineering & Construction Corporation, participating in the preliminary negotiations and feasibility studies of several Belt and Road projects. He was the overseas consultant of the Hongkong Electric Company, chairman of a publicly-listed company on the main board in Hong Kong, etc. Currently, Mr Chan serves as the President of the Hong Kong Former Senior Civil Servants Association.

蔣振寧 Lawrence Tseung

Lawrence currently is a retired Computer Engineer and lives in Tanner Hill, Hong Kong. He has finished his Bachelor of Science degree at Leeds University and Master of Science at Southampton University respectively. He has worked for Digital Equipment Corporation. He also wrote the first email demo before the Internet. In the 1980s, he has trained the first Group of Chinese Computer Engineers 1980s. He proposed print money for Infrastructure to the nephew of Zhu Rongji(朱鎔基) in 1980.

關永強 KWAN Wing Keung 

Mr KWAN  is a research computing expert, supporting the research computing services at the Hong Kong University (HKU) during the last more than 30 years.  Graduated from the HKU Mechanical Engineering in 1976, he continued his postgraduate study in the field of Fluid Mechanics which involved some early works in punch-card computing.  With an interest in broadening his exposure to computer technology, he switched, from a user to working as technical staff, in the HKU Computer Centre in 1981 after the submission of his thesis. He has been asked to take charge of the research computing facilities and support in the HKU Computer Centre (later renamed the Information Technology Services) since 1994. He then worked in this area continuously till his retirement in 2020 as the Asst. IT Director in HKU ITS. Mr Kwan has participated in many research consortiums both in China and overseas since 2004.  Currently, he is still serving as an Honorary Senior Research Associate in the Department of Physics at HKU.

王詠儀 Carlotta Wong

Since 2002, Carlotta has been the Co-founder and Managing Director of Lexington Limited. She has been actively engaged in developing and expanding Lexington from a trading company into a branding, marketing and manufacturing group for sustainable consumer goods. She is well aware of the environmental issues, particularly plastic and paper waste, which pose major threats to the world.  She leveraged the opportunity and explored to use of environmentally friendly materials such as Silicone, PLA, RPET, Coffee Ground, etc. Her experience is particularly based on entrepreneurial activities, and a keen sense of learning while building Hong Kong’s emerging brand from concept, design, R&D, manufacturing, quality control, sales & marketing as well as CSR & CSV partnership. Positivity, hope and commitment are the values that represent my deepest motivations to work for the best and better of our society.

陳恒 Henry Chan 

Mr Chan holds a BMath degree major in computer science from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Mr Chan is a veteran in IT business management. He worked for global IT companies including Wang, Computervision/Prime, Oracle, Stratus, Powersoft, Cadence and CenturyA in the ’80s and ’90s. He experienced the fast-growing IT business and the consolidation of the industry. He shifted his focus to the local market in 2000. Currently, he runs a software service business with two young partners. Moreover, he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Business School of the Hong Kong University of Science of Technology since 2004.

李賢勝 Leslie Lee

Leslie was in the Quality Management Consultancy business for over 30 years (he was a UK Chartered Quality Professional). His clients include Government Departments, Public listed companies, multinationals and SMEs. His interest is research into Family Owned Business Succession, Supplier and Supply Management and Critical Success Factors of businesses. He is the current Chairman of International union of Professional Development Institutions (www.iupdi.org) and former chairman of the UK CQI-HK Branch. He was elected Committee member of CGCC (2009 to 2018).
He was a Technical Advisor to the working committee of HKAS (2003 to 2016)
Since retirement, he was involved with Property Development Management in New Territory and Advisor to Business Enterprises in Mainland China. He hopes to contribute back to society by working with Ethnic Minorities such as Sri Lankan (Ceylon Farm Village) project and Ethnic Minorities from Eastern Europe to Middle East who are studying or working in Hong Kong with the aims to assist them to Integrate into Hong Kong Society and enable us to understand their cultures and religions in order for Hong Kong to flourish as a Multicultural and International Society.
